Archival reference PH062300 / Box 1 / Envelope 1 [Penny Henderson] Skylab Patch.
Notes from file: Support crew patch for Skylab, found inside one of the many books Professor Henderson’s authored after leaving NASA: The Laboratory That Fell To Earth. The book, one of several copies, was given to this archivist by one of Henderson’s granddaughters and the patch discovered subsequently. The granddaughter was notified of the find, but insisted she did not need it returned as she hadn’t known it existed and it should be with someone who had “a true appreciation for such things.”
This is a support crew patch, perhaps given to Henderson but never used before she was reassigned.
