Journal Entry: Believing
At some point I just had to decide no one would believe me and do the work for the sake of the work. Between finds I start to doubt. I put the “I Want To Believe” poster from agent Mulder’s X-Files office up in my workspace as inspiration and as a reminder that when I do find another life, a fabled life, it is that much easier to believe. Eventually I stopped talking to anyone about it. It was discouraging, but I also didn’t know how to talk about it. I still don’t, really.
And then there is My obsession with finding one of them still alive.
